What exactly is sand tray therapy?

A bridge is created from the unconscious to the conscious ... your inner and outer world ... mental and physical to spiritual ...nonverbal to verbal ... and hidden meaning can be revealed.

You are invited to "build a world" in the tray with any number of my collection of miniatures and this is your "free and protected space."

I am a witness to your creation and you are the expert!

You are invited to share a story about the world you have created or simply describe what the miniatures mean to you.

How does it work?

For every image we encounter, there is an immediate felt sense in the body, then it is mapped into language.

In fact, when we have a thought, the image center of our brain lights up first!

When we see and choose miniatures for the tray, we are activating the primary brain system which governs emotions, sensations, memories, insight and wisdom.

Later, the secondary brain system which governs language, reason, logic and story-telling may receive information from the primary system and a story unfolds!
